Carrier doors · AT&T
Protect Advantage is sold by AT&T, administered by Asurion Protection Services, and underwritten by Continental Casualty Company — CNA. Three companies touch your claim; the denial names only one of them. This page is the AT&T sheet and the sequence, including the fact that makes AT&T claims different: this is insurance in the legal sense, and your state regulator has a door for it.

The most-quoted AT&T denial in the wild is the active-line rule: a theft denied because "an AT&T SIM wasn't in the phone during the time of theft" — the customer summarizing it as insuring "the phone number and not the device." If that is your denial, your counter is the carrier's own device-activity record; the full play is on the active-line page. Note also that the letter will say Asurion, not AT&T — which is why AT&T customers' denial searches name Asurion: the denial teaches them the administrator's name.
