Built from the carriers' own terms — and their complaint files.

PhoneClaimDecoded exists because the people best positioned to explain a phone insurance claim — the carrier that sold it and the administrator that decides it — publish the terms but never the fight. We read both, plus the complaint record those fights leave behind, and publish the decoder.

How this site works

Primary sources first. Deductibles, limits, windows, and replacement standards come from the carriers' published legal terms and brochures and the administrators' own claim pages. Figures we could only source secondhand — most T-Mobile numbers — are flagged as secondary in place, and cells we could not verify say "your documents control" instead of inventing a number.
The complaint file is evidence, not decoration. The BBB record (1,339 complaints in three years on the headquarters profile, checked Oct 20, 2026) documents both the denial taxonomy and the reversal pattern — in the company's own words, quoted on the pages where they matter.
Honest verdicts, including against filing. The free checker renders "Bad deal" and "Window closed" verdicts when the math or the clock says so. A decoder that only ever says "fight" would be a sales page.
Checked and dated. Figures carry the date they were checked (Oct 20, 2026). Plan terms change; the tables on this site are re-checked against the published terms, and the check date updates when they are.

What this site is not

PhoneClaimDecoded is consumer education published by CLEARDEAL LLC. It is not a law firm, an insurance company, a claims adjuster, or affiliated with Asurion, Assurant, Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, or CNA — those names appear here because a claim decoder has to name the companies that decide claims. Nothing here files a claim, speaks for you, or promises an outcome. We never ask for your carrier login or password, or your phone's IMEI.
